The East Hartford Parks and Recreation Winter/Spring 2020 Program Brochure is now available, and registration is open for our winter and spring programs. The brochure is available online and copies will be available at the Parks and Recreation Office, Town Hall, Library and Senior Center.  Copies will also be distributed through East Hartford Public Schools.

A wide variety of programs and special events are offered for residents of all ages.  Program offerings include a babysitter training course, youth dance classes, youth tennis classes, a variety of social activities for teens and young adults with special needs, adult fitness classes, senior aqua Zumba, popular special events and more.  Additionally, we’re offering some new programs which include an exciting line-up of bus trips, a new youth martial arts program, Chinese culture program for students in grades K-12, an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) course, and more.

There will be group, private and semi-private swim lessons for all ages, and the popular semi-private swim lesson program has been expanded to offer Saturday class options.   Swim lessons do fill quickly, and the spring session of lessons will be the last opportunity for residents to have lessons before the summer, so it is recommended that those who are interested register early.

Registration for many of our programs is conveniently available online at any time of day at www.ehparks.org.  There is no additional fee to register for programs online.  Most programs are available for online registration; however, youth basketball, camps, bus trips and Special Olympics programs are not available for online registration.

We are still accepting late registrations for our youth recreational basketball program in person at the Parks and Recreation office during regular office hours.  The youth basketball program brochure is available online at www.easthartfordct.gov, and copies are available at the Parks and Recreation Department.

For more information on any of our programs, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 860-291-7160.
