Raymond Library to Offer Career Readiness Workshops Free to Residents

(October 22, 2015) East Hartford, CT – Mayor Marcia A. Leclerc and the Town of East Hartford are pleased to announce a series of Spirit of Success and Job Readiness workshops free and open to the public. The workshops, which will take place in Raymond Library, will be offered every Wednesday, starting November 4 and will run until December 16.

The two workshops, run by Board of Education member Tyron Harris, will offer residents a chance to build self-esteem skills, employability skills, boost job search techniques, enhance resume writing and develop a foundation for future success. Residents will be able to absorb the skills necessary to empower them to become greater leaders, as well as bridge the work skills gap that employers expect from job candidates and employees in today’s business atmosphere.

The Job Readiness workshop will run Every Wednesday Starting November 4 from 5:00 p.m.-6: 15 p.m. until December 16 and Saturday November 14 and December 12, from 10:00am to 11:15am. The Spirit of Success workshop will run every Wednesday starting November 4 from 6:15-7:30 p.m. until December 16th 2015, in addition to sessions on Saturday November 14 and December 12 from 11:15-12:30 p.m.
