Outdoor Pools Offer Weekend Extended Hours
The Town of East Hartford will offer extended hours at two of our outdoor pools this weekend due to the forecasted extreme temperatures.
Martin Pool and Terry Pool will be open from 1-7pm on both Saturday, July 20th and Sunday, July 21st.
Martin Pool is located in Martin Park at 307 Burnside Avenue, and Terry Pool is located in Hockanum Park at 320 High Street.
East Hartford’s three other outdoor pools will be open for regular weekend hours from 1-5pm and are located at:
- Drennan Pool at McAuliffe Park (30 Remington Road)
- Lord Pool at Gorman Park (258 May Road)
- Goldstar Pool at Goodwin Park (1235 Forbes Street)
The Splash Party at Lord Pool is scheduled for Sunday, July 21st from 1-4pm, and will feature an inflatable water slide, pool floats, DJ and refreshments. In case of inclement weather, updates will be posted on the Town of East Hartford website as well as the Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
Admission is free for East Hartford residents, with proof of residency required for all adults and children ages 7 and up. Acceptable forms of ID include CT Driver’s License, a state issued ID card, 2018-2019 East Hartford Public Schools ID, or a Parks and Recreation ID card, which is available for children ages 7-15 at the Parks and Recreation office located at 50 Chapman Place. The fee for an ID card is $6.00 and it is valid for three years. Anyone age 7 and older who does not have proof of residency will be charged the non-resident daily rate, which is $5.00 per person.
