East Hartford, CT—Mayor Michael P. Walsh will be joined by State Rep. April is recognized as National Donate Life Month, with the goal to raise awareness about the lifesaving impact of organ donation. The flag will fly at Town Hall through April in order to raise awareness of the critical need for organ donors.

The flag-flying campaign is part of a national effort to bolster organ and tissue donor registration. The Town of East Hartford is one of nearly 120 municipalities, hospitals and organizations in Connecticut, taking part in the program.

In order to register as an organ and tissue donor in Connecticut, residents can visit the Department of Motor Vehicles or sign up online at Donate Life New England at donatelifenewengland.org.
