Mayor Leclerc Encourages Individuals to Sign Up for Local Alerts on EH Alert Network

EH Alert

(April 7, 2020) East Hartford, CT— Mayor Marcia Leclerc encourages residents and business owners to sign up for local alerts through the EH Alert Network by following this link www.easthartfordct.gov/east-hartford-alert-network.

“It’s critical to have the most up-to-date information on statewide and local emergencies and how they affect our community,” said Mayor Marcia Leclerc. “By signing up for EH Alert Network, residents can expect to receive notification about imminent threats to health and safety due to weather events, fires, or other critical police activity. During this time, residents and businesses can also expect to receive information regarding local measures taken in response to COVID-19.”

The East Hartford Alert Network uses public data from the white pages and yellow pages to notify the public of an emergency situation in a variety of ways. To receive local alerts, residents must register and list their preferred way of contact. Currently, the database only includes listed traditional landline telephone numbers for residents and businesses in East Hartford. The East Hartford Alert Network New Account link allows you to add other means of notification, such as cell phones through calls or text messaging, home and work phones as well as e-mail. During the registration process, residents can also choose to receive non-emergency notifications regarding any interruption in town services, traffic alerts and road closures.

Please know, text messages from the EH Alert Network will come from the 893-61 number and phone calls will be received from 860-291-7657. If you have questions or need assistance with your registration, please call the Mayor’s office at 860-291-7200.
