Island Time in East Hartford

East Hartford, CT—June is Caribbean-American heritage month, and we’re celebrating in style at the East Hartford Public Library! Join us on Saturday, June 29 on the library lawn for an afternoon of music and dance.

At 1:00 PM, Island Time in East Hartford will kick off with a brief presentation on the arts and culture of the Caribbean by Grace Wright, followed by a dance performance accompanied by drums. At 3:00 PM, the Hartford Steel Symphony will perform their high-energy steel pan music.

No registration is required for these all-ages programs. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or picnic blanket. In the event of inclement weather, the performances will be moved inside. Island Time in East Hartford is co-sponsored by the East Hartford Commission on Culture and Fine Arts. The East Hartford Public Library is located at 840 Main St., East Hartford, CT.
