Guiderail Upgrades on Various Route 2 Ramps in Hartford and East Hartford

East Hartford, CT - The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that guiderail upgrades will be performed on various Route 2 ramps in Hartford and East Hartford.

The project consists of upgrading guiderail on various Route 2 ramps in Hartford and East Hartford. This work is scheduled to be begin on Friday, December 8, 2023, with anticipated completion date of January 12, 2024.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures on various Route 2 ramps in Hartford and East Hartford. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for installing this guiderail is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Atlas Fence will begin this install on Friday, December 8, 2023. No work will be scheduled during the Christmas holiday weekend.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity. No work will be performed around any scheduled holidays.
