East Hartford Winter Weather Advisory

East Hartford, CT— Inclement weather is forecasted to continue to impact the East Hartford area. Residents should expect strong winds and potential flooding today. Power outages have also been reported in the area.  

Please be advised temperatures are going to drop Friday evening, December 23, 2022 into Saturday morning, December 24, 2022. Temperatures will drop quickly, and dangerous wind chills may occur. Residents should prepare for freezing and potential black ice on roads.

Town of East Hartford Department of Public Works will be on standby for the duration of the storm to monitor conditions and treat the roads if necessary.

We offer our residents the following tips:

  • Exercise caution when driving and SLOW DOWN
  • Watch for black ice
  • Allow extra space to vehicles ahead of you
  • If you lose power, do NOT run generators inside your home

Any Downed wires, poles, and trees containing wires should be reported to the Fire Department at (860) 291-7400.
