East Hartford Thanks Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center Staff With SURPRISE Parade

(May 6, 2020) East Hartford, CT- Today, the Town of East Hartford’s staff came together to show appreciation for the Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center personnel in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.

A parade of fire, emergency, police and public works personnel, led by Mayor Marcia Leclerc went by the Riverside Health and Rehabilitation this afternoon to show support on behalf of the Town of East Hartford.

“The staff at Riverside Health has been working tirelessly on the front lines of this pandemic,” said Mayor Marcia Leclerc. “In times like this, it’s critical for us to stand together and share large and small gestures of giving that provide others with hope, and reconnect us to thinking beyond ourselves by supporting each other in times of great challenge.”

The Town of East Hartford is grateful for the unwavering support of our community that Riverside Health has demonstrated, and for the incredible work they continue to do, especially during these most difficult times.

“We are with them all the way,” said Police Chief Scott Sansom. “We are all in this together.”
