East Hartford Receives Tree City USA Designation

East Hartford, CT— Mayor Marcia A. Leclerc proudly announced that the Town of East Hartford has been designated a “Tree City USA” by the Arbor Day Foundation, National Association of State Foresters and the USDA Forest Service for the 25th consecutive year.

 “This prestigious designation is a testament to our commitment to the environment and to making our Town a beautiful and healthy place to live and work,” said Mayor Marcia Leclerc.

East Hartford is one of seventeen municipalities in Connecticut to achieve this accomplishment, which demonstrates our commitment to providing a safe, healthy, and attractive community for our residents, workers, and guests by fostering and protecting our trees and forests.

Trees in East Hartford are an on-going source of beauty and joy as they enhance economic vitality of commercial areas and beautify the community. The “Tree City USA” designation demonstrates our commitment to fostering a healthy tree-filled town.
