East Hartford Police Department Participates in Tip-A-Cop Fundraiser

The East Hartford Police Department will once again join neighboring police departments in an effort to fundraise money for Special Olympics Connecticut.

A number of East Hartford Police Department’s officers will be seen at local Dunkin Donuts locations Friday, August 17, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. as part of the Tip-A-Cop fundraising event.

Among the locations are 364 Silver Lane and 1083 Burnside Avenue in town.

Tip-a Cop is an annual national event that allows police officers from various towns to “work” at local Dunkin Donuts restaurants to collect donations for Special Olympics Connecticut.

As part of the fundraiser, police officers will assist Dunkin Donuts staff with their daily responsibilities of serving customers with donated tips benefiting Special Olympics.

We encourage our community members to stop by our local Dunkin Donuts restaurants Friday for breakfast and donate to such a great cause as Special Olympics Connecticut.
