East Hartford Parks and Recreation Winter Special Olympics

East Hartford, CT -  East Hartford Parks and Recreation is excited to announce that registration is now available for our Special Olympics Winter sports. The programs are open to special needs ages 8 and up.  Returning and new athletes can now register online at www.ehparks.org.

The Special Olympics Bowling program will feature Saturday morning practices the last day, there will be an inter-team bowling competition with post event awards.   Practices will be held at Hall of Fame Silver Lanes, 748 Silver Ln, East Hartford, on Saturdays, January 6th – February 24th from 10:30am - 12:00pm.  The fee for the program is $70 for residents or $80 for non-residents.  The fee includes 2 games of bowling and shoes at each practice.

Swimming will also be taking place on Saturday mornings. Practices will be held at E.H Middle School Pool, on Saturdays, January 6th – February 24th from 8:30 – 9:30am. The fee is $55 for residents or $65 for non-residents.

Basketball will take place on Wednesdays. Practices will be held at Goodwin Elementary Gymnasium, 1235 Forbes St, East Hartford, January 10th – March 20nd from 6:30 – 7:30pm. The season will conclude at the Special Olympics State Basketball Tournament. Tournament information will be provided during the start of the season. The fee is $60 for residents or $70 for non-residents.
