East Hartford Parks and Recreation Spring Events

East Hartford spring events

Hop into spring with the Town of East Hartford! We are offering three fun bunny-themed events for children. Events will be held at East Hartford High School, located at 869 Forbes Street.

Bunny Breakfast will take place on Saturday, April 6th from 9 - 11 a.m. at East Hartford High School.  The EHHS Student Council presents this wonderful event for children age 10 and younger. Children will be delighted to have breakfast with the one and only Peter Cottontail while enjoying fun-filled activities such as games, crafts, face painting, photos with Peter Cottontail, raffles and more!  The fee for breakfast is $5 per person.  Children 2 and under are free.  Tickets are required and are available in the main office of East Hartford High School in advance or available at the door.

East Hartford Parks and Recreation Department’s Annual Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, April 6th at 11 a.m. at East Hartford High School.  Children age 10 and younger are invited to join us after the Bunny Breakfast for an opportunity to participate in our annual Egg Hunt!  Children (and their accompanying parent/guardian) should meet in the gymnasium, and will then be divided into age groups.  Each child should bring their own bag or basket to collect eggs.

Parks and Recreation will also be offering an Underwater Egg Hunt held at the High School Pool on Friday, April 5th from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  Participants will be assigned a time slot to ‘hop’ into the pool to collect some floating and sinking eggs.  Each child will then turn in their eggs for a goody bag.  We’ll also have music, floats, snacks and prizes.  The fee for this activity is $2 per child, and pre-registration is required due to limited space.
