East Hartford Parks and Recreation Announces Pool Closing Dates, Modified Pool Hours

East Hartford, CT—The East Hartford Parks and Recreation Department has announced closing dates of all outdoor pools and modified pool hours beginning Monday, August 9th:

  • Goldstar Pool - Closing Wednesday, August 11th at 7:00 p.m.
  • Drennan Pool - Closing Wednesday, August 11th at 6:30 p.m.
  • Terry Pool - Closing Wednesday, August 11th at 6:30 p.m.
  • Lord Pool - Closing Wednesday, August 18th at 6:00 p.m.
    Lord Pool Modified Hours Thursday, August 12th - Wednesday, August 18th
    Public Swim:  Monday - Friday: 1-4pm and 5-6pm, Saturday & Sunday: 1-5pm
    Senior Swim:  Monday - Thursday: 12-1pm and Monday - Friday: 4-5pm
  • Martin Pool - Closing Wednesday, August 18th at 6:00 p.m.
    Martin Pool Modified Hours Thursday, August 12th - Wednesday, August 18th
    Public Swim:  Monday - Friday: 1-6pm, Saturday & Sunday: 1-5pm

Thanks for a great summer, East Hartford!
The East Hartford Parks and Recreation Department would like to thank everyone who visited our pools throughout the summer and enjoyed our facilities.  Although we faced new challenges this year, including a state and nation-wide shortage of certified lifeguards, we are so pleased to have been able to open all of our pools and offer a full summer of recreational swimming opportunities, along with a limited number of swim lessons for residents.  While other towns were forced to reduce pool hours due to lack of staff and cancel swim lessons, East Hartford was able to offer swim lessons to more than 300 residents and certify 22 new lifeguards.  We would like to thank all of our residents, camp counselors, lifeguards, staff and park maintainers for a successful summer!

Indoor Pool Schedule TBD
The Parks and Recreation Department typically offers indoor public swim, adult lap swim, senior swim, and swim lessons during the school year.  Our schedule for the 2021-2022 school year has not been finalized, but will be available by the end of August.  Please check our website for updates, or like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ehparks.
