East Hartford Offers COVID-19 Vaccine Events with Incentives

East Hartford, CT— The Town of East Hartford is offering two COVID-19 vaccine events this week with incentives available to all vaccine recipients.  The East Hartford Health Department recommends everyone 12 years and older get a COVID-19 vaccination. Studies indicate the currently available vaccines are effective against the Delta variant strain responsible for the latest surge in community transmission.  Parents – it is time to get your children vaccinated before returning to school and fall sports.

Upcoming opportunities to receive a COVID-19 vaccine within the Town of East Hartford:

  • Thursday August 5 (5:30 – 8 PM): Sounds of Summer Concert (301 E River Drive)
    • Free ice cream will be offered to all vaccine recipients AND
    • Recipients will be entered into a raffle to receive two tickets to either Trippie Redd at the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport on 9/8 or the Jonas Brothers Xfinity Theater on 9/29.  Tickets provided by the Rock the Shot! Program.
    • Recipients have a choice of Pfizer (12 and older) or Johnson & Johnson (18 and older) vaccines
  • Friday August 6 (10 AM – 12 PM): East Hartford Farmers’ Market (840 Main Street)
    • $20 Farmers’ Market vouchers will be offered to all first dose recipients.  Vouchers are redeemable at the East Hartford farmers’ market for fresh produce from CT farmers.
    • Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines available

Getting vaccinated prevents severe illness, hospitalizations, and death. Fully vaccinated individuals are 8-times less likely to experience illness and have a 25-fold lower risk of hospitalization or death due to COVID-19. East Hartford, take your shot, protect yourself, and your family.
