East Hartford Egg Hunt was a Success!

East Hartford, CT — After taking the year off in 2020, Parks and Recreations Annual Egg Hunt safely returned this year. The sun was shining on the fields of McAuliffe Park Saturday, March 27, where approximately 200 children were in attendance to discover a wide variety of goodies. The attendees were split into groups and adhered to all safety precautions.

All participants had to pre-register, wear masks, and were assigned to separate fields to socially distance. Each field was covered with thousands of pieces of foil wrapped candy, colorful stuffed eggs, toys and more. East Hartford High School Student Council donated foam craft kits and the high school provided volunteers to assist at the event.

Overjoyed children ran through the park, stuffing their bags and baskets. Children were also able to take photos with the Big Bunny, who was very “HOPPY” to be there. After having to forego last year, the event was rejuvenating for all participants.

The Town of East Hartford and East Hartford Parks and Recreation would like to thank everyone who attended and we hope they had an egg-celent experience!
