Coffee with a Cop Returns to East Hartford - Wednesday, October 4, 8-10AM

Coffee with a Cop - October 4, 8-10AM - Silver Lane Dunkin Donuts

The spirit of community continues in East Hartford with the return of Coffee With A Cop.  Last year, the East Hartford Police Department began what is now a regular program designed to bring police officers and the community members they serve together – over coffee – to discuss issues and learn more about each other.  No agenda, no speeches.  Talk with police about your neighborhood, ask questions, share concerns, or stop by just to chat.  After a summer season of ‘community’ events involving East Hartford Police, including the well-attended National Night Out, the popular Coffee With A Cop returns.

“Coffee With A Cop events are recognized on a national level – so much so that October 4th is being recognized by law enforcement agencies nationwide as National Coffee With A Cop Day,” said Police Chief Scott Sansom.  “Programs such as this build trust.  In a short time, Citizens and police officers get to know each other and discover mutual goals for the communities they live in and serve.  We encourage everyone within this community – if you have a few moments – to please stop by for a chat,” he added.

The next East Hartford Police ‘Coffee with a Cop’ takes place from 08:00AM to 10:00AM on Wednesday, October 4th at Dunkin’ Donuts, 364 Silver Lane, East Hartford, Connecticut.  All are welcome.
