2021 GRAND LIST PRESS RELEASE & TOP 10 TAXPAYERS

East Hartford October 1, 2021 Grand List is Now Available

East Hartford, CT— The 2021 East Hartford Grand List, filed on February 25, 2022, is now available. The grand list recognized a total gross increase of $650,597,210 and an overall percentage increase of 19.83% from last year.  The Town had a decrease in exemptions of 4.18% bringing the exemptions to $436 million.  Overall, East Hartford realized a net increase of $669 million or 23.7%.

The Grand List for Real Estate grew by $570,618,858 and is directly attributed to the revaluation that has been completed across the Town of East Hartford. Revaluation occurs every five years and is a state-mandated process.

“I am pleased to say that the $3.5 billion net Grand List is the largest ever for East Hartford, which is about 10% higher than the 2009 net Grand List of $3.17 billion,” said Mayor Michael P. Walsh. “This is by far our largest single increase ever year-over-year.”
