2021 Curbside Leaf Collection Program - First Pass Completed

Crews begin second round November 30, weather-permitting
2021 Curbside Leaf Collection Program Has Been Completed

East Hartford, CT— East Hartford Public Works has completed the initial town-wide leaf collection pass through all neighborhoods.

Starting Tuesday, November 30, staff will begin to return to previously visited areas for a second round of collections. Please know that the second collection will be canceled when the weather prevents us from collecting any more leaves.

To ensure your leaves are picked up, we strongly recommend that you place them in paper bags on your curb. Bagging leaves will keep your property clear in case of excessive rain or snow.

In addition, the Transfer Station is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and every Saturday in November for FREE leaf disposal.

  • Residents, can still bring their leaves to the Transfer Station on Ecology Drive. Bulky waste permits are not required for residents entering the Transfer Station with leaves only. Normal Transfer Station hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 7:15 A.M. to Noon and 12:30 to 2:45 P.M. and on the first and third Saturdays of the month from 8:00 A.M. to 1:45 P.M. Leaves in plastic bags will not be accepted.

If you have any questions regarding the leaf collection program please call Public Works at (860) 291-7374.
