2019 Summer Concert Series Schedule of Performers Now Available

The Town of East Hartford is excited to invite community members and neighbors to enjoy a magical music experience this summer, overlooking the banks of the Connecticut River and the Hartford skyline. The Sounds of Summer, a series of free, family-friendly concerts are back for the summer and will be held at Great River Park, which is the perfect spot to listen to your favorite music. The Great River Park is located at 301 East River Drive in East Hartford. Please, bring a picnic basket, your friends & family and join us for this free event. The shows will begin on June 27 and go through August 8. There will be a show every Thursday from 6-8 p.m. In case of inclement weather, concerts will be cancelled.  Any cancellations will be posted on the Town of East Hartford websiteand Facebook page.

  • Thursday, June 27 - Off the Record (Rock-n-Roll hits)
  • Thursday, July 4 - no concert 
  • Thursday, July 11 - Espada (Latin, jazz and salsa)
  • Thursday, July 18 - Shaded Soul (Vocal and instrumental variety)
  • Thursday, July 25 - Dually Noted (Rock-n-roll classics)
  • Thursday, August 1 - Goza Latin Band (Latin music and dance rhythms)
  • Thursday, August 8 - Soul Sound Revue (9 piece motown show)

Great River Park is a beautiful and much loved stretch of the East Hartford’s riverside. Stretching along the bend of the Connecticut River adjacent to East River Drive, Great River Park is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and enjoy the outdoors. Enjoy picturesque vistas of the riverside and the city along nearly two miles of paved and lighted Riverwalk. Facilities include a boat launch, picnic tables, fishing access, a 350- seat amphitheater and a unique collection of sculpture art. Pedestrians can easily travel back and forth to Hartford via the Founders Bridge Promenade or the Charter Oak Bridge just steps from the park.
