TIME:  7:15 PM

SITE: 2^nd Floor Conference Room, EH Town Hall

1. Call to Order: A quorum being present, Chair Melodie D. Wilson called the meeting to order at 7:12 PM.

Present: Pete Beley, Vinny Parys, Gene Pushefski, Josh Quintana, Tim Siggia, Awet Tsegai, Melodie Wilson.

Absent: John Cook, Greg Sims

Lead by Commissioner Melodie D. Wilson

1. Opportunity for Residents to Speak

Pending Patriotic Commissioner Art discussed goals, background, and ideas on new events.

1. Acceptance of Regular Meeting Minutes

Due to resignation of Clerk there were no Meeting Minutes filed for May 2017 but notes were taken. Meeting covered final preparation for Memorial Day Events.

1. Correspondence

Plaques for Shop-Rite, Rogo Distributors, and EHHS wording completed by Commissioner Parys.Special award for EHHS Band Director, now retired, Candis Guastamachio, will be obtained by CommissionerJosh Quintana and presented September 2017 at an assembly.

1. Treasurers Report

Event Expenses and Office Supplies from January to June 2017 totals $6570.16

1. Unfinished / Old Business

Many Commissioners had received comments from EH residents that a Memorial Day Parade is more desireable and fits the community and business the best.

1. New Business

Rewrite the Commission Statement to update events held and general tone. Vote to hold no Patriotic Meetings for July and August and return for September’s meeting. Commissioner Parys motion, Commissioner Tsegai seconds motion. Motion carries. Election for Chairperson and Vice Chairperson to begin office in September 2017. Commissioner Quintana nominated and elected with 1 dissent to Chairperson.Commissioner Tsegai nominated and elected to Vice Chairperson.

1. Adjournment

Commissioner Parys made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Siggia seconded the motion. None opposed, meeting dismissed.
