SBA Connecticut District Office Announces Veterans Small Business Resource Expo

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Connecticut District Office announces a Veterans Small Business Resource Expo in partnership with the Connecticut River Valley Chamber of Commerce.

In celebration of National Veterans Small Business Week, this event will include training sessions on:

  • Getting Certified - Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)
  • Business Plan Basics
  • Financing your Venture
  • Veteran Business Outreach Center (VBOC) Resources.

In addition, organizations will be on hand to showcase their resource information to assist starting, growing, and succeeding in business ownership.

The Veterans Small Business Resource Expo will take place on Thursday, November 2nd, from 9 AM to 1:30 PM at the East Hartford Cultural Community Center, 50 Chapman Place, East Hartford.

SBA encourages Veterans, transitioning active-duty military and military spouses who own a small business or are budding entrepreneurs to register and attend. “Military community members become more successful entrepreneurs with the help of the SBA, and we are pleased to offer this event to equip them with the tools they need to thrive in the world of entrepreneurship” said Connecticut District Director Catherine Marx.

Jessica Olander, president of the Connecticut River Valley Chamber of Commerce added “Join the Chamber and SBA at the Veterans Small Business Resource Expo as we honor our veterans and empower them to be successful in the world of small business”.
