East Hartford, CT - The Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) opened another round of free COVID tests for U.S. households to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 prior to the holidays. Each household can order 4 FREE test kits online at COVID.gov. Only a name and address are required to order the test kits.

To support efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19 during the holiday season, the East Hartford Health Department will continue to provide residents with free COVID-19 rapid test kits and N95 masks upon request. Residents are encouraged to visit the Health Department (currently located at the Community Cultural Center at 50 Chapman Place) to pick up free COVID-19 rapid test kits and N95 masks.

Additionally, the Health Department will provide free COVID test kits and N95 masks to the Senior Center (15 Milbrook Drive) and the Public Safety Complex (31 School Street) for residents to pick up starting on Tuesday, December 12th and until supplies run out.  COVID test kits and N95 masks will be available upon request at the reception desk in the Senior Center. COVID test kits and N95 masks will be available in the lobby at the Public Safety Complex. Educational handouts on what to do if you test positive for COVID-19 will also be available at each site.
