East Hartford is looking for Community Donations
East Hartford, CT—East Hartford residents Chris and Ashley Tierinni are on a mission to fight food insecurity in our community and our looking for your help to fulfill that goal.
You may know of a Backpack Program, ran by the East Hartford Public Schools with the help of community donations. This program helps over 50 families, with children in our school system, go home with a backpack full of food to help feed them on weekends. This program runs throughout the school year. Chris and Ashley are collecting non-perishable, non-expired, food donations to help stuff the backpacks and support local children.
THEY ARE IN NEED OF:
- Mac & Cheese
- Tuna or canned chicken
- Canned soup
- Ramen Noodles/ Easy heat meals
- Peanut Butter and Jelly (NO GLASS PLEASE)
- Pasta & Sauce (NO GLASS PLEASE)
- Granola/Cereal
- Granola bars/Trail mix
- Canned fruit/ Individual fruit cups
