Neighborhood Assistance Act Provides Opportunity for Local Programs & Businesses
The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services (DRS) has approved 29 programs in East Hartford for inclusion in the 2019 Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA) program. The program is designed to provide funding for State-approved projects to benefit communities conducted by municipalities and tax-exempt organizations. The NAA provides a corporation business tax credit to businesses who make cash contributions, ranging from $250 to $150,000, to the programs. Each program has a credit percentage of either 60% or 100%, representing the amount of the corporate contribution that can be received as a tax credit.
Businesses wishing to contribute to 2019 NAA programs must apply to the State of Connecticut during the period from September 15th to October 1st of 2019. The application form can be found by clicking here and may be submitted electronically, by mail, or by hand to the Department of Revenue Services.
