Employers Must Register for Connecticut Paid Leave Program

Connecticut Paid Leave

Now is the time to register your business for the CT Paid Leave Program (CTPL). Employers who have one or more employees must participate in this program.  The funding to support the CTPL program will come in the form of employee payroll deductions beginning January 1, 2021.  Employers will be responsible for withholding and submitting the payroll deductions for each employee.  For more information and to register, visit CTPaidLeave.org and their page for employers, here.

WHY DO I NEED TO REGISTER?

Registering your business is a vital step in preparing to remit employee payroll deductions to the CT Paid Leave Authority — set to begin in January 2021 — and to ensure you receive the information and resources your business needs.

WHEN DO I NEED TO REGISTER BY?

As employee payroll deductions begin on January 1, 2021, it is important for you to register your business before December 31, 2020.

WHEN DO I SUBMIT EMPLOYEE CONTRIBUTIONS?

Contributions are due quarterly. The first payment will be due April 30, 2021.

ARE YOU AN EMPLOYEE IN CONNECTICUT?
