Dunkin' Celebrates New Location at Main & Pitkin Streets

Mayor Marcia Leclerc joined the Zafiris family, the Connecticut River Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the East Hartford community in celebrating the grand opening of the new Dunkin at 639 Main Street and Pitkin Street on May 10, 2019.  The location is one of the first of Dunkin's "Next Generation" concept stores, featuring a tap system to dispense beverages, a glass bakery display case, and a fireplace.  

The location is owned and operated by T&J Zafiris, Inc., a family franchise group of Dunkin' restaurants.  Owner and founder James Zafiris opened his first Dunkin' Donuts in 1991 at 1084 Main Street in downtown East Hartford.  The organization donated $500 to both East Hartford Youth Services and East Hartford Police Community Outreach at the event.
