CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 5:30 P.M.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
PRESENT: M. Beaulier, Chairperson; B. Corona, Co-Chairperson; G. Lynch, Secretary; P.Gero; Tanya Rosario; Nannette Fabian. GUESTS: Louise. Corona, Eugene Market
ABSENT: M. Brinius; F. Schroeter ; I. Martin
MINUTES: Motion made by Bernie Corona, seconded by Peter Gero, to accept the minutes of the September, 2014, meeting. MOTION carried.
LIAISON REPORT ON EAST HARTFORD COMMISSION ON AGING: Annual Picnic was a success. Upcoming: Spaghetti dinner, October 28, catered by Maneeley’s. Election of officers to be held in December.
A MOTION was made by Tanya Rosario to skip to our guest speaker, seconded by Bernie Corona. MOTION carried.
GUEST SPEAKER: A presentation of the services provided by the First Choice Health Centers was made by Eugene Market, CEO. The commission gained a lot of information about health services that are provided for all residents of East Hartford including persons with disabilities.
OLD BUSINESS: Ginny did some investigating and we will be discussing these issues further at our November meeting.
- Discussion of handicap bathroom in Town Hall basement: String too high to reach. Who would respond?
- Discussion of monitoring of Handicap spaces on Town Property.
