The East Hartford Commission on Aging Proudly Presents our 36th Annual Senior Picnic

East Hartford, CT—The East Hartford Commission on Aging invites you to our 36th Annual Senior Picnic
WHO: East Hartford residents who are 55 or older and their guests
WHEN: September 12; Noon-3 PM
WHERE: Goodwin University, 3 Pent Road, East Hartford, CT
Mayor Mike Walsh and the Commission on Aging are happy to invite all East Hartford seniors and guests to the 36th Annual Senior Picnic. his year's theme is "Super Heroes"
Lunch will be served around noon. The menu will include your choice of hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, BBQ chicken, maple glazed baked beans, home style potato salad, baked macaroni and cheese, garden salad, sliced watermelon, cookies, ice tea, coffee, lemonade, soda, and bottled water.
Musical entertainment will feature music from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and modern day music.
Prizes will be awarded throughout the afternoon. Prize certificates from Walmart will be awarded to the top 3 best dressed for the picnic theme, as well as 40 prizes of $20 each from Shop Rite by random drawings of the ticket stubs. We anticipate more prizes from donations by local organizations.
TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE; no tickets will be sold at the door. The tickets are cash only and the price is $10 for residents and $12 for non-residents.
Tickets will be sold the week of August 14 - 18 between 10 AM - 1 PM in the front foyer of the Senior Center located at 15 Milbrook Drive.
CAR POOLING IS ENCOURAGED; FEWER CARS = CLOSER ACCESS TO THE DOORS!
