Community Outreach

A division of the Police Department

The East Hartford Police Department believes that building strong relationships between the police and the community we serve is essential. We believe that fostering mutual trust and understanding is fundamental to creating safer and more resilient neighborhoods.

That’s why we have invested a significant amount of time and energy over the years into building a myriad of programs that help to bring officers and community members together. Our three full-time Community Service Officers and our part-time Neighborhood Resource Officers work to provide programs and services to enhance our relationships with businesses and community members while providing meaningful educational opportunities.
