Garden Buckets: Little Space, Big Rewards
East Hartford, CT – East Hartford Youth Services has teamed up with members of the East Hartford Hunger Action Team to increase access to fresh, homegrown vegetables and raise funds to benefit the Friendship Center Soup Kitchen and local food banks.
Start a garden on your patio, front steps, or anywhere around your house right in a bucket, provided by us. Each Garden Bucket has everything you need to grow your own vegetables at home and will be fully prepared with soil, seeds, and come with growing tips!
Varieties of vegetables include cherry tomatoes, standard tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, bell peppers, hot peppers, and peas. Please help support the East Hartford community with a small donation. There is a $5 suggested donation for one bucket and $10 for three. Any donation amount is appreciated and no one will be turned away.
