East Hartford, CT— The East Hartford Youth Services Department continues to offer virtual and in-person services and programming. The department’s professional staff and interns offer confidential counseling to youth and their families in a wide variety of areas: individual and family counseling, youth counseling, relationship counseling, crisis intervention, parenting skills, substance abuse, grief/loss, anger/behavior management, stress management and coping skills, social-emotional skill-building, self-confidence/self-esteem/resilience building, and goal-setting/achievement.   • Zentangle
    October 19, 2021 - June 14, 2022
    6:00 – 7:00 PM
    Weekly via zoom on Tuesday nights.
    This is an easy to learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. 
    There are no mistakes in Zentangle! Bring some Zen into your life through this fun, creative outlet.
    Appropriate for almost all ages. Younger folks will need more hands-on help/guidance.
    Great for families and individuals. Learn new tangles every week!!

  • Talk-It-Out Tuesdays with Anne and Kylah 
    Tuesdays at 7:00 PM 
    This is a virtual space for all youth!
    Each meeting will have a different theme. 
    Join us virtually as we discuss ways to become our best selves, connect with others, and grow as individuals.

  • Parents Matter, a support group for adults caring for children. 
    Starting January 5, 2022
    Weekly on Wednesday Nights
    6:00pm - 7:00pm via Zoom
    Parents and other adults caring for children are welcome to join this discussion and support group.  In it we will talk about the developmental stages children go through, common behaviors children have at various ages, interventions parents/caretakers can use to reduce disruptive behaviors, and overall provide support to one another.  Taking care of children is hard.  This is a space for you to get support and validation for the hard work you're doing!!
