What is the Juvenile Review Board?

The Juvenile Review Board’s purpose is to divert juveniles under the age of 18 who have had contact with the East Hartford Police and juvenile court when appropriate, as well as providing meaningful age appropriate non-judicial alternatives. The Juvenile Review Board enhances coordination of services to youth by directing them to local resources and service providers to address juvenile criminal or at risk behaviors. Supporting agencies who participate on the Board include Youth Services, the East Hartford Police Department, the Division of Children and Families (DCF), the Office of Juvenile Probation and includes a representative of the local school.
