Girls Circle Group

Ages 10-13 (Grades 6-8)

Girls Circle is a structured, gender-relevant social support group for girls.  The focus is on healthy relationships and provides a safe environment so girls can develop positive connections with peers and adult women.  The group helps girls gain skills essential to womanhood, including communicating feelings and viewpoints, setting boundaries, and developing healthy coping skills.  Girls are invited to share their own views and experiences, and to reflect on their behaviors. By doing so, they promote girls' cognitive and spiritual development.

Group discussions and creative activities promote further opportunities for girls to think critically about their behaviors and the world.  The group is an experiential way for girls to develop healthy relationships, gain confidence, express themselves genuinely, and set meaningful life goals.
