(July 31, 2018) East Hartford, CT- Mayor Marcia A. Leclerc and the Commission on Aging are happy to invite all seniors to the 32nd Annual Senior Picnic.
The picnic will take place Tuesday, Sept. 11 at the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Club, located at 200 Clement Road, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at 12:15 pm. The menu will include BBQ chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, salads and dessert.
There will also be musical entertainment provided by DJ Square and prizes will be awarded throughout the afternoon. This year’s picnic's theme will be honoring “Patriot Day,” so attendees are asked to consider wearing a patriotic ensemble.
Those who wish to attend the picnic must purchase tickets in advance. The ticket price for residents is $8 and $12 for non-residents.
Tickets will be on sale from Wednesday, Aug. 8 through Thursday, Sep. 6 and can be purchased at the East Hartford Senior Center Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The East Hartford Senior Center is located at 70 Canterbury Street.
