The East Hartford Department of Public Works (DPW) is proud to be maintaining the Town’s physical infrastructure. We care for the Town’s streets, waste and recycling, including the Transfer Station, street lights, parks, cemeteries, and maintain the Town's flood protection systems. Additionally, DPW maintains all Town buildings and grounds, including 5 outdoor pools, and trails, as well as the Town’s fleet of vehicles and equipment. DPW's dedicated employees who, with quipment, materials and, utilizing private vendors, carryout the responsibilities of the Department.

To report concerns realted to the above services such as missed garbage pick up, potholes/road conditions, street light outages, and concerns with the general maintenance of Town property please enter a request using our My East Hartord reporting platform. 

My East Hartford allows users to pinpoint the issue location, attach photos, and receive automatic notification of updates as your requests are handled. It also features a searchable knowledge base of in-depth FAQs to provide residents with the necessary information they need to have their questions answered from most departments on a wide-range of topics.
