MDC-Sewer Related Information

The Metropolitan District (MDC) offers a number of programs to address customer-related sewer issues, including a turnkey program to fund and execute the installation of backwater valves and installation/redirection of sump pump discharges to protect homes from sewer backups and to remove inflow and infiltration that causes issues during rain events.

**MDC BACKWATER VALVE PROGRAM***

MDC also offers financial assistance through a loan for customers that need to line or replace their sewer lateral.

**WATER AND SEWER SERVICE PROGRAM**

  • Customers who are experiencing a sewer related issue should contact MDC’s 24/7 Command Center at (860-278-7850, press 1 or ext 3600) for an immediate response by MDC staff.
  • Customers that require backwater valve protection should contact MDC’s Utility Services Department, utilityservices@themdc.com to schedule an appointment.
