The Town of East Hartford offers an annual 'Sounds of Summer' Concert Series at the Great River Park Amphitheater.  We are excited to invite community members and neighbors to enjoy the 2021 Sounds of Summer, a series of free, family-friendly concerts returning to the riverside amphitheater at Great River Park.  We welcome the community to bring a picnic basket, your friends and family and join us to relax and listen to live music outdoors while overlooking the banks of the Connecticut River and the Hartford skyline. Concerts will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.  Cancellations will be posted on the Town of East Hartford website and Facebook page.  We will attempt to reschedule any cancelled concerts.

Annual Fall Festival 

The event will take place on Saturday, October 9 from 11:00am-3:00pm, at the East Hartford Town Green, 1047 Main Street. Fall Fest is one of the Town’s largest events, averaging over 2,000 participants the past few years and there is always loads of fun activities for the entire family to keep you busy celebrating the autumn season all afternoon. There is a $5-fee for visitors that provides an unlimited access to attractions, games and a pumpkin decorating activity that participants will get to take home.The fall fest is the perfect family-friendly, community event that offers fun activities for children and adults alike. The Fall Fest signs will be displayed around town to assist visitors in locating the fun-filled venue.Among many activities, this year there will be a petting zoo, a variety of vendors, food, pumpkin painting, scarecrow decorating, pumpkin bounce house, inflatable corn maze and more. Crafters, vendors and non-profit organizations are welcome to participate in this event.The East Hartford Police advises visitors to access Alumni Park via 84 Roberts Street Exit, left onto Hillside, left onto Burnside, Left onto Main Street and turn right into Alumni Park. There should not be traffic in that area from the Hartford Road race. There will be rangers at the entrance directing people into the park.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be Sunday, October 10 from 11:00am-3:00pm.

Trunk or Treat Drive Thru:  Sunday, October 31st  
East Hartford residents are invited to join us for a Trunk or Treat Drive Thru, sponsored by the CT River Valley Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Town of East Hartford and Pratt and Whitney.  This event will be held rain or shine on Sunday, October 31st from 12 - 3 p.m. on the Pratt and Whitney runway.  The Trunk or Treat Drive Thru is open to the first 500 pre-registered East Hartford families. Trunks will be sponsored by local organizations and businesses and will distribute candy to each car.  This is a drive-through event; families are encouraged to wear their costumes, but must stay in their vehicle the entire time.  Candy will be placed directly into each vehicle's open trunk.  Registration begins Wednesday, October 13th, 2021 at 9am.  Families should register the vehicle driver only - each passenger in the car does not need to be registered individually.  For more information on the Trunk or Treat Drive Thru, please visit www.easthartfordct.gov or Connecticut River Valley Chamber of Commerce.
