East Hartford, CT— The East Hartford Public Library invites you to take your child to the library! The library will host a series of events during the first week of February.

  • Monday, February 1 – Friday, February 4

Join us for activities all week to learn more about what East Hartford Public Library offers you and your family.

Show Your Love!

What do you love about the East Hartford Public Library or East Hartford itself? Is there someone special that you want to know how much you care? Stop by the walk-up window to pick up hearts to decorate the windows of the library. Decorate your heart with someone or something that you love. Drop off your hearts and we'll hang them in our windows for everyone to see. We love you, East Hartford! 

  • Tuesday, February 2, 3:00 – 4:00 PM

Scavenger Hunt Show and Tell

Love scavenger hunts? Miss show and tell or share? Play along with us as we give you something to find at home and then invite you to share it with us! Categories will be broad so that lots of items can be found. Best for families with children in kindergarten and above. Register online.

  • Tuesday, February 2, 6:30 – 7:00 PM

Bedtime Stories

Bedtime a struggle? Tired of reading the same books every night? Join us in your jammies to listen to bedtime stories that will send everyone off to bed with sweet dreams. Best suited for families with children ages 2-8 years old. Register online.

  • Wednesday, February 3, 3:30-4:30pm

Valentine's Day Crafts for Grades 1-5

Want to make cards and decorations? Sign up to get a kit to make something to celebrate. You'll have enough supplies to make a few! Join us on Zoom to learn how to put everything together. Best suited for kids in grades 1-5. We'll send an email when the kits are ready for pickup. Register online.
