Contest Dates

  • Photographs entered in the contest can be taken at any time

Entry Information

  • The contest is voluntary and there is no monetary prize for winners
  • The contest is open to anyone
  • The contestant must be the actual photographer of submitted images under their name
  • Photographs must be taken within the Town of East Hartford at any time (historic photographs are encouraged!)
  • Photos from all seasons are encouraged
  • Photos with minor editing enhancements are permitted, but images that are significantly altered will be disqualified
  • Photos must be submitted via the official submission form at www.easthartfordct.gov. Hard copies and emailed photographs will not be accepted.
  • The Town of East Hartford reserves the right to remove from the contest any submitted image that depicts illegal, unsafe, patently offensive, or otherwise inappropriate content, that is deemed contrary to the goals and intent of this contest.
  • If your photo isn't selected to be included in the newsletter, the Town of East Hartford may still use it on the town's website, social media, event flyers and other marketing and communication materials. 
  • If submitted photos feature clearly identifiable individuals, photographers must have received an expressed permission to take and use the photographs. If a photo with clearly identifiable individuals is selected, we might ask photographers to provide us with proof of permission. If a photo depicts clearly identifiable individuals please provide their names and ages (for children).

Image Requirements

  • JPG format
  • High resolution, not less than 300 dpi
  • The Town of East Hartford prefers to receive photos without watermarks
  • Please name the photos using the following pattern: Location_Photographer Name_Title of Photo.
