Congressman Larson Shares I-84 Interchange Proposal

Two weeks ago Representative John Larson shared with the East Hartford Town Council and our community his vision for a new interchange that would connect I-84 and I-91 under East Hartford, Hartford, and the Connecticut River. Congressman Larson’s proposed infrastructure project to tunnel I-84 and I-91 thorough Hartford would allow for the repair of the Hartford levee systems, and would return a few East Hartford streets to local boulevards.

Congressman Larson is pursuing state and federal approvals and funding for the project from the Federal Department of Transportation, which would be a long term project.  We have posted the presentation slides on our website.
