Community Co-Design Session: Propel East Hartford
Wednesday, January 8 (snow date, January 15), 6:30 PM
Propel East Hartford was developed following a series of community conversations held last year at the library. Let’s continue the conversation! How can we support civic engagement in East Hartford? What programs and services should we add to our lineup? We want to hear from you, whether you’ve participated before, or whether you are new to the conversation. Please register.

Living Room Conversation about Race & Ethnicity
Wednesday, February 5, 6:30 PM
Thursday, February 6, 6:30 PM
Wednesday, February 19, 6:30 PM
Using a framework developed by Thought Partners Solutions (https://thoughtps.com/contact/) we will hold a “living room conversation” at the library in January. Join us to get to know your neighbors through a deep and constructive conversation about race and equity. All participants will follow these guidelines: be curious and open to learning; show respect and suspend judgment; find common ground; be authentic and welcome that from others; be purposeful and to the point; and own and guide the conversation. Best suited for adults. Registration is required as space is limited. Choose the session that best fits your schedule.

Become a Green Ambassador!
Wednesday, May 27, 6:30 PM
Are you looking for an opportunity to help the environment and give back to your town? We're exploring the creation of a Green Ambassadors group that would collaborate with our Public Works department to promote "green" living in East Hartford. Topics might include community outreach and education about recycling, protecting our wetlands and watercourses, tree care, and more! To provide your input and learn more, please register for this organizational meeting. The group will also discuss an upcoming grant opportunity to fund a special project.
