How Does the Museum Pass Program work?
Due to high demand, only East Hartford residents with a valid East Hartford library card may reserve and use our museum passes in advance. Passes may be reserved up to 30 days in advance either online, by phone at 860-290-4332, or in person. Out of town residents with a valid CT library card may make same-day reservations for available museum passes. A driver's license is not acceptable - only a valid CT library card will be accepted.

*A TEN DOLLAR security deposit (cash only) is required to borrow museum passes (excludes “Print on Demand” passes). The deposit is refunded as long as the pass is returned on time.

How do I pick up and return my pass?
Your reserved pass should be available after 3PM on the day before your reservation. Because we cannot control when the pass is actually returned, we advise you to please call 860-290-4332 to see if your pass is ready.  Your pass must be checked out from the library with the same library card that was used to make the reservation. The pass must be returned by 12 NOON of the day after use. If the pass is returned late, the library keeps the security deposit. Museum passes are not renewable. Passes must be returned INSIDE the Raymond Library Children’s Room.

What does “Print on Demand” mean?
Print on Demand means that you are able to print the museum pass from home or at the library. These passes do not require a cash deposit, and do not need to be returned. Simply make your reservation, print the pass, and you’re good to go! These passes MUST be presented in printed format; electronic versions (on smartphones or tablets) will NOT be accepted by museums.

Are there any limits or penalties? 
Only one pass per card is allowed. You may not exceed 1 reservation per month for the same museum. If you fail to pick up passes twice in a 30 day period, you will be blocked from reserving passes. The replacement fee for a lost pass is $200.00.

What does the pass allow me to do? 
Passes allow a set number of people to attend the attraction or museum for a reduced rate or free admission. Patrons must abide by the conditions that each location sets forth. Passes may not cover the total cost of admission. It is a good idea to check with the museum you are interested in ahead of time for the most up-to-date information.

How do I cancel a reservation? 
If you reserve a pass and change your plans, you may now cancel your own reservation here.
