COVID-19 Updates & Resources

Vaccination Information

The Town of East Hartford continues to recommend all persons 16 and older who lives, works or attends school in Connecticut to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The Town of East Hartford is partnering with First Choice Health Centers, Inc. to conduct vaccine pop-up events at several locations to address vaccine inequities and access barriers. For information about upcoming clinic events in East Hartford, and resources about eligibility, safety, and effectiveness, check out the Town of East Hartford COVID-19 Vaccine Information page.

Community Testing Information

East Hartford and the State of Connecticut continue to experience community transmission of COVID-19.  If you are experiencing any symptoms suggestive of COVID-19, even if you are fully vaccinated, you need to get tested.  If you are not fully vaccinated and may have been exposed to a person with COVID-19, it is also recommended for you to be tested. Health insurance and a state-issued ID are not required to receive COVID-19 testing or vaccination, and you will not be turned away if you do not have insurance or an ID. If you do not have insurance, the in-clinic visit will be covered at no additional cost to you.

For information about testing locations in East Hartford and resources to locate other testing sites in Connecticut, check out the COVID-19 Testing Page.
