Warm Up with Winter Programs at the East Hartford Public Library

Winter Programs at East Hartford Public Library

Join us at the East Hartford Public Library to escape the winter weather with an exciting lineup of upcoming programs.

Enjoy a tour of our newly expanded and renovated building and then explore our museum collections with Jason Pannone, head of reference and cultural assets, at “Meet the Museum.” This program will be repeated twice. Please register for either Tuesday, January 23, 10:30 (tour) – noon, or Thursday, January 25, 6:00 (tour) – 7:30. Learn more about East Hartford’s place not only in local history, but in national and world history as well.

Curious about cutting the cord? Join librarians Elizabeth Morin and Rebecca Livaich for an interactive program on Saturday, January 27 from 2:30 – 4:00. Instead of overpaying for a massive selection of channels you never watch, discover how easy it is to choose the services you want. No registration required.

On Wednesday, January 31, from 6:00 – 7:30, the library will host a mindfulness workshop presented by Chuck Schad from the Inner Theater in Manchester, CT. With mindfulness, you can learn to use relaxation techniques to create a positive environment, and your breath as a metronome to keep your thoughts in a gentle rhythm. This program is for an adult audience. Please register, and bring a cushion to sit on.
