The Town of East Hartford Invites You to a Soft Opening of the new Dog Park

East Hartford, CT—Mayor Mike Walsh invites all dog owners and their dogs to a soft opening of the new dog park at Foran Park at 150 Forest St. The soft opening will take place Friday, September 16 at 11 AM. Animal Control Officer Jillian Cappabianca will be on site to answer your questions. Please stop by and say hello.

The dog park will be open year-round, featuring separate areas for small and large dogs. Additional amenities, including water, benches and agility equipment will be forthcoming as the dog park continues to be developed. However, individuals can begin using the park immediately following the soft opening.

It is the town’s hope that the dog park will become a favorite place for dog owners and their four-legged friends to have fun and enjoy the outdoors.

Please be advised, per the state statute, dogs must be licensed to be able to attend the dog park. Dog licensing is done through the Town Clerk’s Office. For information on dog licensing please visit this page or call the Town Clerk’s Office at 860-291-7230.
