The Town of East Hartford and Justice Education Center Invite Local Girls to a One-Week Basketball Program

East Hartford Partners with Justice Education Center To Bring Summer Basketball Program for Girls

East Hartford, CT – The Town of East Hartford has partnered with The Justice Education Center, Inc. to bring the “Inspire” Girls Summer Basketball program to East Hartford. This one-week basketball program will bring girls entering grades 1st through 8th together in sport, fun, and friendship. The goal of the program is to connect young girls with women leaders who will help build self-esteem, motivate and inspire them, while having fun.

“Inspire” is open to East Hartford residents and will run from Monday, August 15 through Friday, August 19, 9 AM to 3 PM at the East Hartford High School. Breakfast, snacks and lunch will be provided to all participants.

Registration for the basketball program will be open from Tuesday, July 26 at 9 AM to Friday, August 12 at 3 PM or until we reach 100 participants. Pre-registration is required at www.ehparks.org.

The program is free, however there is a registration fee of $25 to ensure participation. Upon completion of the program, this fee will be applied as a credit toward any East Hartford Parks and Recreation program in the coming year.

Well-known coaches, professional WNBA players as well as high school rising seniors and college athletes will be participating to share their enthusiasm and experience, while teaching core values to girls entering grades 1st through 8th.
