The East Hartford Fire Department Receives Lifeline EMS Recognition

East Hartford, CT–The East Hartford Fire Department was honored with a 2020 Lifelife EMS Recognition by the American Heart Association.

“The role of EMS personnel in prehospital patient care is instrumental and it sets the course for the patient’s outcome,” said Mayor Marcia Leclerc. “East Hartford is blessed to have such an incredible and competent team of first responders who dedicate their lives and careers to protecting the safety and being of our community,” said Mayor Marcia Leclerc.

Lifeline EMS Recognition is a program designed to showcase Emergency Medical Service organizations across the nation for excellent medical care in severe cardiac emergencies.

“This award is a testament to the community’s investment in our fire department and the hard work done each day by the firefighter/paramedics and EMTs within the department,” said East Hartford Fire Chief John Oates. “We look forward to continuing to improve our EMS delivery system to ensure the best service to our community.”
