TYCTTLD 2023: Puppetry for All

East Hartford, CT - East Hartford is joining the international celebration of Take Your Child to the Library Day on Saturday, February 4, 2023 with fun programs and activities.

The Raymond Library will be open from 10 AM - 2 PM. Stop by to check out books, movies, and more! Stick around for activities: complete the scavenger hunt in our children's room, or play with our train table, explore our educational games computers, or color a picture.

From 11 AM - noon, the Bright and Beautiful therapy dogs will be in the children's program room for their monthly program, Read to the Dogs. Registration is required for a 15-minute time slot (best suited for children ages 5 and up who are reading independently).

From 11 AM - 1 PM, puppeteer and librarian Rolande Duprey will be in the Makerspace on the second floor for "Puppetry for All!" at which patrons of all ages will have the opportunity to play with a variety of puppets. Try out hand puppets, shadow puppets, and marionettes in an informal setting where creativity is encouraged! Register for a reminder.

The Raymond Library is located at 840 Main Street, East Hartford, CT. For a complete lineup of programs, visit our website: www.easthartfordct.gov/library
