Bridge Bundle Project in East Hartford and Willington

In case of inclement weather, this meeting will be held on Monday February 26, 2018 at the East Hartford Community Cultural Center, 50 Chapman Place in East Hartford, from 6:30 to 8:30pm.

The purpose of this meeting is to introduce the East Hartford community to the upcoming Bridge Bundle Project. Work on the Route 2 EB (02369) bridge will begin in early spring 2018, followed by work on the Potter School Road (00847) bridge will begin in early summer 2018. Work on the Route 2 WB (02366) and I-84 WB (02367) bridges will begin in 2019. Construction is anticipated to commence in spring of 2018 and be completed by winter of 2019-2020. Accelerated Bridge Construction techniques will be used in this project to minimize construction time and traffic impacts on the community. The estimated construction cost is approximately $22,000,000. At the meeting, a project overview, construction staging, and traffic management plans will be presented.  Following the presentation, project staff will lead a discussion to answer questions.
